Laura Cressley
Flute, Piano, Voice
Laura has been exposed to all sorts of music her entire life. Coming from a musical family she experienced music before she was able to play.
Laura studied piano from the time she was in elementary school and studied flute both in school as well as from private teachers.
Laura graduated from Kutztown University with a bachelor's degree in music education. She studied flute with Dr. Susanna Loewy and piano with Dr. Maria Asteriadou. While at Kutztown she performed as principal flutist for many of their ensembles and groups.
Laura is the music teacher at St. Jerome's Regional School in Tamaqua. She is also the organist at First Presbyterian Church in Lehighton and is the substitute organist at Zion UCC also in Lehighton. She also teaches dance at TNT Studio of Dance.
Laura is very experienced in musical theater and has appeared in many supporting roles at Zion Opera Workshop as well as the leading role in their 2015 production of Thoroughly Modern Millie.
